Quinn then enrolled in the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, where he studied with cellist Emmanuel Feldman. In his junior year Quinn appeared on NPR’s From The Top Show #187 as cellist of The Bolcom Bros Quartet. In 2010 Quinn entered the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with the Assistant Principal Cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra, Richard Weiss. While at CIM, Quinn won Silver Medal at the Cleveland Cello Society Competition and was invited back to appear in recital later that year. In 2014 Quinn won a full merit scholarship to study with legendary cellist and pedagogue Aldo Parisot at the Yale School of Music, and graduated with both a Master of Music and a Master of Musical Arts degree in 2017. As a student at Yale Quinn won First Prize at the Duxbury Music Festival Concerto Competition, appearing the following year as soloist with the Duxbury Music Festival Orchestra to perform Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D Major.
