ISMF 2017 CAMPUS SITE
Private Lessons: 4 individually tailored lessons with the festival faculty; additional lessons may be requested.
Master Classes: Each student will have the opportunity to perform publicly, followed by feedback from our high profile faculty musicians.
Piano Ensembles: Students will be assigned into duets or small groups and receive 2 hours of coaching each week.
Chamber Music: Students will be assigned to chamber groups to advance their musicianship and collaborative skills, each group will receive 2 to 3 coaching sessions.
Jazz Skills: Students of jazz will improve their performance techniques and make connections with other likeminded students.
Harpsichord Workshop: Workshop is conducted to showcase the harpsichord. Each student will have the experience of playing the instrument.
Music Appreciation: Classes will focus on introducing some of the most influential and stylistic Classical music pieces. Open to all students and their family members.
Dance Classes: Students are offered daily dance class, on a rotational schedule, including but not limited to Modern, Tap, Ballet, and Zumba!
Recreational Sports: Students may sign up for swimming classes, tennis lessons, and other recreational activities available on campus (optional).
ISMF 2017 will be hosted on the beautiful campus of Strake Jesuit, a private College Preparatory school founded in 1960. The unique design of its campus gives the feel of a small university, with lush landscaping, large oak trees, and more than 300 pieces of various works of art provided by the Art Museum. This 52 acres of campus is located in the heart of Asian town, in the Southwest corner of Houston, United States. Student life is enriched by the culture and prosperity on and off campus.
